About Us

Caledonian Properties extends to c.5,500 acres of mixed rural Estate around the north of Glasgow.

Our land holding incorporates a variety of uses including our own arable farming enterprise, mixed woodland, grazing, residential, commercial & amenity lets, various sporting uses and promotion of strategic residential development land. We also own Strathkelvin Retail Park in Bishopbriggs; a 300,000 sq ft retail portfolio.

As sustainability becomes increasingly important to the wider business, we are exploring ways in which Caledonian Properties can help with achieving biodiversity enhancements on our landholding. Primarily, we are investigating the opportunity for development of an 18MW Solar Park, planting new woodland to sequester carbon, development of one of our traditional steadings into a net zero carbon office facility, and investigating opportunities for managing the natural capital assets within our ownership to enhance carbon sequestration.

We actively manage the woodland on the Estate, including 127ac Wilderness Woodland SSSI, c.100ac native woodland planted in 2015, and we’re promoting further land for new native woodland planting in future. All new woodland is registered under the UK Woodland Carbon Code.
